Famous Influencer Reveals Dating Life After HIV Diagnosis

[ Back to News Page ] Dated: 09-Dec-2024

Zachary Willmore is a very well-known internet personality in the United States. Last year, he suddenly announced to his fans that he had contracted HIV. At the same time, he took on a new role as an 'HIV activist,' starting to share topics related to HIV.

Zachary Willmore said, "Honestly, I felt terrible. I wished I could take a big needle and drain all the blood from my body. People kept telling me I would get through it. But it felt like the end of the world to me; I felt exhausted, both mentally and physically."

Before being diagnosed with HIV, Willmore knew almost nothing about the disease; it was essentially a foreign concept to him. However, after a few months of treatment, his perception of HIV changed. The fear, despair, and ignorance he once felt began to dissipate, and he experienced a significant shift in awareness compared to before.

Willmore said, "The virus hasn’t affected my life. Apart from taking a pill in the morning, there’s been almost no change." However, the stigma surrounding HIV deeply pains him, so Willmore began to use his influence to share his genuine experiences of living with HIV.

In a recent video, Willmore shared a story about dating as an HIV-positive person. "A lot of people ask me what it's like to date someone who is HIV-negative when I’m HIV-positive. I want to say that at the end of the relationship, the person I dated is still HIV-negative because I’m on treatment," Willmore explained.

Many of Willmore’s fans have expressed their gratitude for his honest account of living with HIV, which helps others gain understanding.

In closing, I'd like to end with a quote from Zachary Willmore: "Being in a relationship with you means you are still worthy of love; having HIV does not change that, especially when it is treatable. You must allow yourself to be loved."
